About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the public website at https://mellon.ai (the Website), operated by Mellon Inc (Mellon, we, us or our). Please read them before using the Website. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Website. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@mellon.ai.

Website scope and enterprise services

The Website presents Mellon and its platform. Its content is information about our work, not an offer, professional advice, an insurance policy or a policy document. It may change as our products and services change.

These terms govern use of the public Website only. They do not grant access to Mellon's enterprise platform, create a subscription or govern the delivery of enterprise services. Access to and use of enterprise services, including service commitments, customer data handling, fees, confidentiality and termination, are governed by the applicable separate agreement with Mellon. These Website terms do not amend or replace that agreement. If there is a conflict concerning enterprise services, the applicable enterprise agreement governs those services.

Eligibility, authority and accounts

You may use the Website only where permitted by applicable law. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you must have authority to do so.

These terms do not create an enterprise account or any entitlement to use enterprise services. Any account credentials provided under a separate service agreement must be used and protected in accordance with that agreement. Do not attempt to access accounts, systems or areas of the Website for which you have no permission.

Acceptable use and user responsibilities

Use the Website lawfully and without interfering with its operation or other users. You must not introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, bypass security controls, disrupt or overload the Website, or use it for fraud, impersonation or unlawful activity. Do not copy or use Website content in a way that infringes intellectual property, privacy or other rights.

Do not submit information you are not authorised to share. Public Website enquiries are not a substitute for an agreed secure channel for customer records, personal data or confidential enterprise material. You are responsible for the lawfulness and accuracy of information you provide and for your own internet connection and equipment.

The text, drawings and design on the Website are Mellon's. Except where otherwise identified, rights in the Website and its content belong to Mellon or its licensors.

This statement concerns the public Website; it does not describe the operation of enterprise services governed by separate agreements.

It is not legal, financial, insurance, underwriting or other professional advice, and should not be relied on as the basis for a decision without appropriate independent assessment. Descriptions, illustrations and examples do not constitute contractual service commitments or guarantees of results.

Subject to those protections and to the extent permitted by applicable law, Mellon is not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, anticipated savings, business opportunities or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the public Website or its content.

This section applies to the public Website only. Liability relating to enterprise services remains governed by the applicable enterprise agreement.

Restricting access and termination

We may restrict, suspend or end access to the Website where reasonably necessary to address misuse, a security risk, a breach of these terms or a legal requirement. You may stop using the Website at any time. Restrictions on public Website access do not themselves terminate or amend a separate enterprise agreement.

Provisions concerning intellectual property, liability and disputes continue to apply where relevant after use ends.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms by publishing an updated version on the Website and changing the last-updated date. Review the current terms when using the Website. Revisions to these Website terms do not amend a separate enterprise agreement.

Governing law and courts

These terms and disputes arising out of or in connection with them or the Website, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory applicable law gives you rights to another governing law or court that cannot be excluded.
